Reasons White Mushrooms Might Be Growing in Your Lawn Check in comment 👇

Your Soil Is Home to an Active Fungal Community

Soil is much more than ordinary dirt. It’s a complex living environment containing bacteria, fungi, plant roots, insects, worms, and countless other organisms.

Fungi are particularly important because they help decompose organic materials and recycle nutrients.

Many fungi grow through the soil using tiny thread-like structures called hyphae. A network of these structures is known as mycelium.

Much of a fungus can exist in this hidden underground form without producing visible mushrooms.

When environmental conditions become favorable, however, the fungus may produce the familiar mushroom caps that appear across your lawn.
